"Casa Loma" is Canada's only castle, and was the largest private residence in North America when it was built 1911-1913. It has 88 rooms and 22 fireplaces. However, in spite of Sir Henry and his wife living their about 10 years, only the first and second floors were completed - leaving most of the basement and third floor unfinished. But the first and second floors...nice! Open to the public since 1937, the Kiwanis Club or Toronto is restoring the castle. FLOOR PLAN COMING SOON! |
